4 Dental Plans That Help You Avoid Annual Maximums

Person researching dental insurance plans in Superior

Are you expecting to need a lot of dental treatment? You may know already that dental insurance can help, but most plans contain something called an annual maximum that can make accomplishing this more difficult. If you exceed that maximum, your insurer will no longer provide coverage and you’ll need to pay the rest of your expenses out-of-pocket. That’s why it’s worth taking a look at some of the dental insurance plans in Superior that come with zero annual maximums entirely!

Delta Dental

Delta Dental offers some of the most affordable policies, limited premiums, and free services for many basic dental procedures. One of the ways they prioritize affordability is by providing plans with premiums starting as low as $33 a month for individuals. Their fee schedules are essentially upfront for all of their plans so you know what you’re paying for from the get-go. In addition, you won’t even need to complete a waiting period for your preventive care.

While the network of dentists accepting Delta Dental can be smaller in certain states, it can be worth considering if you want to avoid the annual maximum that’s typical with many dental insurance providers.

Careington

When you need to complete major dental work, Careington is a reasonable option. On top of not having an annual maximum, they offer discount dental plans with an upfront fee schedule that’s relatively easy to understand. Plans start at just $8.95 a month or $89 per year depending on how you’d like to finance your insurance. Their coverage is also quite comprehensive and they have no waiting period to begin your procedure.

Aetna

One of the many benefits of choosing Aetna (other than having no annual maximum) is there are no deductibles on savings plans and you have the ability to switch plans on a monthly basis. This flexibility is relatively rare across dental insurers and may be ideal for you based on your dental needs. Furthermore, members have access to many providers across the country. One caveat, however, is the waiting period for receiving major dental work is 12 months.

In-House Membership Plans

As an alternative to traditional dental insurance plans, some dental offices offer an in-house membership plan that’s entirely separate. Not only do they provide discounts on specific services the dentist offers and guaranteed preventive care, but there is no annual maximum attached. Ask the dentist directly if they offer this option to help you save more money on your future treatments.

With plans like these, you can make your future dental care more affordable and start protecting your oral health sooner rather than later.
